Start with what was different
Two actions with different starting needs cannot establish which has the larger fixed recovery amount. A bar ending at 100% hides any potential change above its cap.
The TV report recorded different starting Fun values for a movie and news. Those outcomes do not create a reliable ranking of the programs’ value.
Build a comparison sheet
Keep completed actions and inspected menus in different rows. An unused option cannot act as the control for a completed action.
| Condition | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Same active wish | A reward may belong to the wish window |
| Starting need or skill progress | Caps and hidden experience affect the visible change |
| Same action order | Travel or another purchase can add changes |
| Completion checked | A label is not a finished result |
Choose a smaller follow-up
A useful comparison changes one relevant condition and measures the same outcome. It should fit normal manual play without requiring extra purchases or account resets.
Do not erase an inconvenient earlier result
The laptop report includes both a mixed-session rollback and a later isolated IG Shop save success. The success adds evidence for that later action; it does not prove the older failure was repaired.
An unchanged skill level also does not establish zero experience gain. If progress within the level was not read, say that measurement is missing.
What if a controlled comparison is impractical?
Publish a dated observation with its limits. A modest report can help other players decide what to inspect without pretending to establish a fixed multiplier.
Can several related windows be combined? They can form a chronological account, but each claim should still identify which window supports it.
Sources & dates
Check what each source records. A menu label and a completed playtest are different kinds of evidence.
